"Friends of St. Andrew's Camp" is a support group of the Orthodox Charitable and Educational Foundation (OCEF), which was incorporated in the State of NY in 1956. Over the years OCEF has fostered the spiritual upbringing of youth and the Christian education of all. The OCEF provides seminary scholarships, pan-Orthodox religious education facilities and summer camping programs for both American and foreign students. The current focus is the St. Andrew's Camp program.
St. Andrew's camp is the only 7-week overnight summer camping program within the Orthodox Church in the United States. Operating St. Andrews Camp is a challenging missionary endeavor entailing time, resources and energy. Our work naturally involves the efforts of many. Teachers, bankers, cooks, lawyers, psychologists, businesspeople, librarians, nurses, administrators, counselors, doctors, painters, musicians, farmers, clergy and so forth are numbered among our members. If you are not already part of OCEF please consider contributing your talents and resources.
Volunteers make the difference! St. Andrew's Camp could never make it through a summer without the effort of volunteers to assist our staff. Volunteers fill in as mentors, help in the kitchen, cut the grass, help with general maintenance, run errands, take pictures and on and on. If you can spare your time and energy we will find appropriate activities for your participation. Completing the Volunteer Registration Form is a great starting place.
