St Andrews Camp was represented at the 7th Annual Orthodox Christian Camp Conference January 22-24, 2009. The conference was organized by the Orthodox Christian Camp Association, and hosted by St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, home of OCN, the Orthodox Christian Network.

Over 70 conference participants came from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, and the Orthodox Church in America

The conference theme was "Protecting our Youth", to assist camp directors, staff, youth workers, and religious educators in protecting young people, as well as introduce them to the latest policies and procedures in safeguarding our children.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Jane Hickerson, Vice-President of Training and Development for Praesidium Inc., a risk management agency that specializes in sexual misconduct policies for churches.
